Glassdesk vs Yuma AI
Yuma is a broad, enterprise-grade CX automation platform that takes real actions — refunds, cancellations, order edits. Glassdesk is a narrow, self-serve support agent that answers with citations and a public flat price. They are honestly different tools, and one of them is probably obviously right for you. Here's how to tell.
The short version
- Yuma automates support, sales chat and social moderation for mid-to-large brands, resolves tickets end-to-end by taking real actions in your systems, and onboards you with a dedicated account manager. Pricing is outcome-based and unpublished — you get a number after a demo and qualification.(yuma.ai/pricing, 19 Aug 2026)
- Glassdesk does one thing: Tier-1 ticket deflection from your own help center. Every reply shows the passages it cited and a confidence score, it grades itself on your docs before going live, and the price is on the website — $79, $199 or $449 a month, flat, start yourself in an afternoon.
If you want an AI that acts — issues the refund, edits the order — and you have the volume to justify an enterprise sales process, Yuma is the more capable platform. If you want an AI that answers provably, at a price you can read without booking a call, that's us.
Pricing: public and flat vs contact-only and outcome-based
Yuma charges per outcome: "you only pay when Yuma fully resolves a support ticket", with no charge for conversations or escalations, and a free 30-day trial on real ticket data. What a resolution costs is not published anywhere — their pricing page says it depends on volume, workflows and platforms, and routes you to a personalized demo and qualification step.(yuma.ai/pricing, 19 Aug 2026) Their Gorgias marketplace listing likewise reads "Please contact for pricing."(Gorgias listing, 19 Aug 2026)
That model is fair in one direction — a quiet month costs little — but it has the same property as every per-resolution meter: your bill peaks exactly when your store does, and you can't budget it from their website. Glassdesk is the opposite trade: $79 (Starter), $199 (Growth) or $449 (Scale) a month, published, with a 14-day trial you start yourself — card required, $0 due today. A busy month costs the same as a quiet one — Starter and Growth hard-cap; Scale adds $0.15 per resolution past its included 3,000, published rather than quoted.

Where Yuma is genuinely ahead
Credit where it's due — these are real gaps, not spin:
- It takes actions. Yuma autonomously issues refunds, edits orders, updates addresses and changes subscriptions, with coded guardrails — "Hard Limits cap refunds and coupon values."(yuma.ai/support-ai, 19 Aug 2026) Glassdesk answers and drafts; money-touching actions go to a human on purpose. If autonomous actions are your requirement, Yuma has them today and we don't.
- 180+ languages, auto-detected per customer.(source, 19 Aug 2026) Glassdesk has eval-proven coverage in English, Spanish, German and French — and we publish exactly what we haven't tested.
- Nine helpdesks — Gorgias, Zendesk, Kustomer, Salesforce Service Cloud, Re:amaze, Gladly, Front, Sprinklr, Zoho Desk — plus a long ops-tool list (ShipStation, Loop, Recharge…).(yuma.ai, 19 Aug 2026) Glassdesk is live on Gorgias, with Freshdesk in early access.
- Named case studies at scale: 89% automation at EvryJewels, 79% at Petlibro, customers like Glossier — operating since 2022.(yuma.ai & Gorgias listing, 19 Aug 2026) We're new, and we say so.
- Gradual rollout — Yuma ramps from 0% of tickets to 1%, 10%, 30%, 50%, 100% as quality proves out.(source, 19 Aug 2026) To be clear, this one is parity, not a gap: Glassdesk's shadow mode is the same idea — watch it draft before it sends.
Where Glassdesk is different
- Every reply shows its evidence. Your team sees the exact help-center passages each answer cited and its confidence score, on the ticket. Yuma's pages describe internal quality checks and a dashboard that tracks accuracy and confidence in aggregate(yuma.ai, 19 Aug 2026) — but we could find no mention of per-reply source citations shown to your agents. Aggregate metrics tell you it's usually right; citations let you check this reply.
- Accuracy proven before launch, on your docs. Glassdesk generates an eval suite from your own help center — including prompt-injection attacks — and shows you the score before a single customer sees it. Yuma's published numbers are customer case studies, which prove the ceiling, not your store.
- A price you can read. No demo, no qualification call, no quote. The number on the pricing page is the number on your invoice.
- Deliberately narrow. We do Tier-1 deflection, provably, instead of support + sales + social, broadly. If you want the suite, that's honestly Yuma's pitch, not ours.
⚠️ One number to double-check with them: Yuma's Gorgias marketplace listing advertises "up to 93% automation rates" while their own homepage says "Top deployments automate up to 89%" — we read both on 19 August 2026. Not a scandal; marketing pages drift. But budget from their named case studies (62–89%), not the headline.(listing & homepage, 19 Aug 2026)
