Freshdesk Freddy AI pricing in 2026: what a session really costs
Freshdesk's plan prices are easy to find. The AI line is not — it sits in an "available add-ons" list under each tier, and the unit it bills you in is never defined. Here is the whole thing, priced out, with the question you should ask Freshworks before you sign.
The short answer
Every Freshdesk plan includes the first 500 Freddy AI Agent sessions. After that you pay $49 per 100 sessions — $0.49 a session — on top of your seats. Freddy AI Copilot is a different product and is not included on any tier: it is a $29 per agent per month add-on.
Freshdesk seat prices, 2026
| Plan | Per agent/month, billed annually | Freddy AI Agent | Freddy AI Copilot |
|---|---|---|---|
| Growth | $19 | First 500 sessions included | Not listed |
| Pro | $55 | First 500 sessions included | $29/agent/mo add-on |
| Enterprise | $89 | First 500 sessions included | $29/agent/mo add-on |

The add-ons that move the bill
Three metered items sit under every tier. They are the ones that make two Freshdesk bills for the same seat count look nothing alike.
| Add-on | Growth | Pro | Enterprise |
|---|---|---|---|
| Additional AI Agent sessions | $49 / 100 | $49 / 100 | $49 / 100 |
| Day passes | $2 / pass | $7 / pass | $12 / pass |
| Connector app tasks | $80 / 5,000 | $80 / 5,000 | $80 / 5,000 |
What it costs at real volumes
Assume, generously, that one ticket consumes one session. The AI line alone, on top of seats:
| Sessions/month | Billable after the free 500 | Freddy AI Agent cost |
|---|---|---|
| 500 | 0 | $0 |
| 1,000 | 500 | $245 |
| 2,000 | 1,500 | $735 |
| 3,000 | 2,500 | $1,225 |
The free 500 makes the first tier of usage feel free, which is the point of it. The meter starts exactly where a growing store starts: the month the AI is finally doing enough work to matter.
Add Copilot and the seat price roughly doubles
Copilot is agent-assist — it drafts replies for humans rather than answering customers. At $29 per agent per month it costs more than a Growth seat and about half a Pro seat. For a five-agent team on Pro:
- Seats: 5 × $55 = $275/mo
- Copilot: 5 × $29 = $145/mo
- 1,000 AI Agent sessions: $245/mo
- Total: $665/mo, of which $390 is AI.
How to keep the AI line predictable
Two things are worth doing whichever tool you pick:
- Get the billing unit in writing. Session, resolution, conversation, deflection — vendors define these differently, and the definition decides your invoice. A tool that won't put it in writing is telling you something.
- Check whether escalations are billable. The tickets your AI can't answer are the ones where it should hand off to a human. If those still consume a metered unit, you are paying for the failures too.
The flat alternative
Glassdesk is the other shape: one monthly price and no per-session meter. $79 / $199 / $449, with a disclosed $0.15 overage rather than a surprise, and it connects to Freshdesk directly at getglassdesk.com/freshdesk.
At 1,000 answered tickets a month, the AI line is $199 flat instead of $245 metered — but the honest caveat is that a Freddy session and a Glassdesk resolution are not the same unit, and we can't compare them precisely while one of them is undefined. The difference that is precise: one number moves with your volume and one doesn't.
Two more things you can check on us that you cannot check on a black box — every Glassdesk answer carries its source articles and a confidence score, and below your threshold it escalates to a human instead of guessing. New connections start in shadow mode, so answers post as private notes your agents judge before anything reaches a customer.
