Comparison

Best AI agents for Freshdesk in 2026: an honest comparison

Four tools that answer Freshdesk tickets, with the rates each vendor publishes and what those rates come to at real volume. We make one of them, so we've put our own row in the same table and flagged where the comparison isn't clean.

How to choose, in one paragraph

If your volume is under 500 a month, Freddy AI Agent is nearly free and already installed — start there. If you want to see how an AI would have handled your past tickets before it touches a live one, eesel's simulation is the reason to pick it. If your bill needs to be the same number every month, take a flat-rate tool. And if you'll be asked to justify an answer the AI gave a customer, pick one that shows its sources and a confidence score, because the others cannot tell you why.

The four, compared

ToolBilling modelPublished rateAt 1,000 tickets/moBest at
Freddy AI AgentPer session500 included, then $49/100$245Zero setup — it's already in Freshdesk
eesel AIPer task$0.40 per ticket or chat$400Simulating against past tickets before go-live
Intercom FinPer resolution$0.99 per resolution$990Teams already standardised on Intercom
GlassdeskFlat monthly$79 / $199 / $449$199Cited, confidence-scored answers you can audit
Read that table with one caveat. A Freddy session, an eesel task, an Intercom resolution and a Glassdesk resolution are four different units, and Freshworks does not publish what closes a session. The column is an order of magnitude, not a like-for-like quote. The structural difference is the honest one: three of these numbers move with your volume and one does not.

1. Freddy AI Agent — the default

Freshworks' own agent, built into the product. Every plan includes the first 500 sessions; beyond that it is $49 per 100, or $0.49 each. Nothing to install and nothing to integrate, which is a real advantage.

Two things to know before you lean on it. The separate Freddy AI Copilot add-on — the one that drafts replies for your human agents — is $29 per agent per month and is not included on any tier. And the pricing page never defines a session, which is awkward when the session is the billing unit. Full breakdown: Freshdesk Freddy AI pricing.

2. eesel AI — best pre-launch simulation

eesel connects to Freshdesk and its distinguishing feature is that it will replay your historical tickets and show you how it would have answered before you let it near a customer. That is the single most useful thing you can do before switching on any AI agent, and few vendors offer it.

Pricing is usage-based: $0.40 per support ticket or chat session, no platform fee, no per-seat fee, with a $50 free trial. Heavier tasks like long-form drafting are $4.00. At 1,000 tickets that is $400 a month.

3. Intercom Fin — capable, and the most expensive per unit

Fin is a strong agent and works with Freshdesk as well as Intercom's own inbox. It charges $0.99 per resolution, which at 1,000 resolved tickets is $990 a month — four times Freddy and five times a flat $199 plan.

The fairest thing to say: you are paying for maturity and for Intercom's tooling around it. If you already run Intercom, that may be worth it. If you run Freshdesk and only want ticket deflection, you are paying for a platform you're not using.

4. Glassdesk — ours, and what we won't claim

We built Glassdesk because of the row above: per-resolution meters charge you most in your best months. Ours is flat — $79 / $199 / $449 — with a disclosed $0.15 overage instead of a surprise one.

The part we think actually matters is auditability. Every answer carries the help-centre articles it used and a confidence score. Below the threshold you set, it escalates to a human with context instead of guessing — and any retrieval or tool error escalates too, rather than dead-ending your customer. New connections start in shadow mode: answers post as private notes your agents read and judge, and nothing reaches a customer until you switch it on.

What we won't claim: we're new, and we don't have the deployment history Freddy or Fin have. If you want a vendor with thousands of live stores behind it, that isn't us yet. What we can offer instead is that you can check our work on every single answer, and see it run on your own tickets for two weeks without risking one.
